I wear my sunglasses at night

we were putting together gift bags for Isabelle's birthday and had a few left over items, so Parker got to experience his first round of dress-up. If you look closely, you can see the serious irritaion in his eyes.

My First Haircut (butchering)

So, Philip has been saying for a long time that he wants to get Isabelle's haircut. It has almost been two years and while I like the length, it did need some freshening up. I was planning to surprise him by taking her to the shop one day this week, but it is closed due to a death in the family. So, I decided that a blunt cut on a straight fine-haired almost two year old couldn't be that difficult and I, supermom, could handle it. Well, as you can see, here are the results..........

Before......

After .......

So, in less than five minutes, it was all gone. Not straight, not the length I wanted, just gone. In all, it was approximately 5 1/4 in. My mom said I should blame it on Isabelle moving around to much, but in all honesty, she sat pretty still thanks to the lollipop. No, it was just her incompetent mother. Did I forget to mention that her 2nd birthday is in four days and we will be traveling to Huntsville to celebrate with my family and take lots of pictures. Well, hopefully I have learned my lesson, and thankfully her hair seems to grow pretty quickly. What's that saying about the best laid plans..?

a trip to the park

On one of Philip's few days off, we headed to a local park on a beautiful early fall day. It's amazing to see how Isabelle has grown over the Summer. It seems like when we left Huntsville, she was still a baby. Now she is a full fledged toddler. They sure do grow up fast!
