Cute Kid Pics

Here is an update on the every growing Smith kids. It is so much fun to watch more of Parker's personality come out and Isabelle loves playing mommy.

As you can tell, Parker is a very serious baby. He studies everything and at times it seems he is contemplating the world's problems. Isabelle is our smiler, it is very contagious.

We would like to thank Aunt Elizabeth for the bumpo. It has come in very handy.

Not supposed to be a video, just pushed the wrong button on the camera. Anyway, trying to get to get a good picture of Parker smiling.

The Great Flood

About a week ago on a Sunday afternoon, it rained really hard for about an hour. When the storms cleared up, Philip went out to survey the damage. He discovered that the road in front of the funeral home (which is a mian road in town) drains poorly. As you can see in the pictures, the water is really high. Philip waded through some of it, and it came up to his knees at one point! Anyway, nothing like small town excitement.

Ahhh, a yard!

Isabelle had such a great time playing in the backyard. It is one thing she has really missed since we moved to Arkansas. She spent most of her time out with her cousins. It was great to see them playing together.

Whenever Smiths get together, the men gather outside and solve the world's problems one cigar at a time.

The Pool

We went to a pool on Saturday. It started out all right, but Isabelle had a moment in the kiddie pool and spent some time underwater. After that, she was deathly afraid of the water, and would only go in to the pool strapped to her daddy. We'll have to try it again sometime......

This is how Parker spent his time at the Pool.

Everyone trying to prove ot Isabelle that pools are lots of fun!

A Weekend Away

We went to Jackson for the weekend of the 4th. It was a much needed break and we had a great time. It is nice to spend time with family.

Finally, Parker is starting to spend time awake with us and we are starting to see more of his personality.

Our hosts were very happy to have us there.

This was is the guard dog. He is one huge dog, but sweet as a teddy bear. Unfortunately he is just about eyeball to eyeball with Isabelle, which makes here jsut a little nervous.
