Thanksgiving with the Illmans

We hosted Thanksgiving with the Illman side of the family this year, in Marion. It was a bit crazy to get the house all orgainzed before everyone arrived, but thank goodness they are all flexible and things went really well, we had a great time. Here is a sampling of the good times. (So fun to have so many Bama fams all together for the Iron Bowl!)

All the cousins in the tub......

We spent a lot of time outside. So great to have a yard this time when the family got together. Outside time always turned into tackle time.....
While we were all together, we let the cousins exchange early Christmas gift...
We took the kids to the park to feed the ducks. The boys were eager to chase the ducks while the girls were a bit more nurturing. I tried to keep my distance and did use a child or two as a shield. Hopefully my kids will be a bit more fond of our flying friends than their mother...

Vacation in Dauphin Island

We went to the beach with Sara's brother's family in early October. It was a wonderful week
of relaxation. The house that we rented was right on the beach which was wonderful.
We were able to fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean.

Birthday Fun

Isabelle and Parker decided to play superheros on her birthday. Their towels are perfect cause they have hoods to help keep them on. It was pretty cute, but I managed to catch them during a brief moment of rest. But like I said, it was brief.

Isabel le's 3rd birthday!

We celebrated Isabelle's 3rd birthday this past Saturday. We tried to pay a little better attention to what she wanted this year and it was a huge success. We spent less and she loved it more! Hard to believe that she is 3 all ready. Time is flying and she is growing up so much...

She wanted a Mickey Mouse birthday cake. So, while I am not what you might call artistic, I but my best foot forward and the result was not so terrible. She liked it, so that makes it just great :)

Doing the Dinosaur

This post is primarily for the grandparents. Parker has finally started walking and we wanted to share it with anyone who hasn't gotten to see it yet, essentially, anyone who doesn't currently reside in H-WH. He has a bit of a sway back, like his momma, so he walks it the tummy stuck out in front and his booty stuck out in the back. Very cute, I think. He also tends to walk with his arms bent up in his armpits, so he looks a bit like a T-Rex or other dino. He is thoroughly enjoying his new found independence, finding new ways to get into trouble and drive his sister crazy. He is going to be bigger than her and faster than her very soon, and then we are all gonna be in trouble.
